Staff Software Engineer - Embedded System Design and Development Tools (Job Code SSE230307)

The staff software engineer will use his embedded software tool development expertise, supervision and leadership skills to mentor and assist a team of 25-30 engineers in the development and maintenance of a wide range of industry standard tools and platforms like compilers, debuggers, emulators, simulators, integrated development environments, micro kernels, device drivers, debug monitors and starter kits.

Responsibilities include technical mentoring, brain storming, reviewing specifications and designs and rapid prototyping. The staff engineer will directly interact with the chief architect in ensuring proper translation of technical goals to project goals. Opportunity exists for the right candidate to grow into an architect or senior architect position.

Desirable Qualification and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a BE or ME in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and over 6 years of experience working in the development of compilers, debuggers, simulators and debug monitors. Familiarity with micro kernel and device driver architectures will be a plus.

Successful candidate will possess proven skills in understanding customer requirements and will have strong interpersonal, leadership and customer satisfaction skills.

The staff software engineer will be based out of Visakhapatnam, India.
